Privacy policy

The short version

We hold the things you typed into your profile, the bookings you made, and the messages on them. We do not hold your position, we do not sell anything to anybody, and there is no advertising or tracking in this app.

You can delete all of it yourself, from your profile, without asking us.

Your location, specifically

This is the part most apps are vague about, so: when you tap "use my location" the app reads your position once, works out which city that is, and throws the reading away. What is stored is the city — and the city's own coordinates, the same ones for everyone in it.

That means your position cannot be worked out from what we hold, not even approximately, because every person in Paris is stored at the identical point. We never read your position in the background, and never while the app is closed.

How far you search is yours alone. It is a browsing preference, it is never shown to anyone, and it says nothing about how far you will travel.

What we hold

What you put on your profile: your name, an email address or phone number, your city, your roles, your bio, your profile picture and your portfolio images.

What you do here: booking requests you send or receive, the messages on them, whether a booking went ahead, ratings you leave and receive, who you have blocked, and who you have saved. Saving someone is private — they are never told.

That you accepted the terms, when, and which version. We keep this because you agreed to rules we enforce, and we should be able to show what you agreed to.

Reports you file, including what you wrote, so somebody can act on them.

Where it is kept

On hosted infrastructure, not only on your device. Your profile, bookings, messages, portfolio images and ratings are stored in a managed database and file store (Supabase) so they are available across your sessions and to the people a booking involves. The servers are in the EU (Frankfurt).

When something needs you — a booking request, a reply, a new message — we send a notification to your device through a push service (Expo, and Apple’s or Google’s push networks). It carries only what is needed to show you the right screen: who it is from and which booking.

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. Deleting your account removes it, as described under Your rights.

Who else sees it

Other people using the app see your public profile: name, picture, roles, city, bio, portfolio, availability and ratings. They do not see your email, your phone number or your search distance.

An agency that represents you manages your profile and receives booking requests made to you.

We do not sell personal data, share it with advertisers, or use it to build a profile of you for anyone else. There is no analytics SDK and no tracking in this build.

Your rights

You can see and correct everything on your profile from inside the app, and delete your account there too — permanently, without contacting us.

Under the GDPR you may also ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or erase it, object to how we use it, or complain to the CNIL. Write to privacy@ilme.app and we will answer within one month.

Deleting your account removes your profile, portfolio, bookings, messages and ratings. It cannot be undone and we cannot restore it afterwards.

Children

This app is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly hold data about anyone younger, and we remove profiles for people under 18 when we find them.
